Anyone out there looking for a hand nudging, tail wagging, mellowed-out couch-potato to snuggle for the rest of his days? Ziggy wants his latter years to be the ones where he finally learns about love! Everyday since this sweet old boy first came to us, his personality has blossomed more and more! Ziggy is about 14 pounds, and were guessing he's a Schnauzer mix. He is anywhere between 10 to 15 years old. We found Ziggy right after he was neutered, which also involved removing a scrotal mass - later determined to be a low-grade mast cell tumor.
Ziggy has learned quite a bit in the last week since we pulled him from the shelter, put him in a foster home, and gave him a hair cut: lifting either leg inside is never ok, howling in the crate gets me no where, couches are amazing, kibbles are amazing, pets and scratchies are amazing, cats are pretty cool, small dogs too, big dogs are scary but are kinda growing on me, oh and if you nudge people with your nose enough theyll always cave and give you pets or let you snuggle." Ziggy absolutely loves people and seems to enjoy the cats and small dogs he lives with. He does growl over food/toys and doesnt like to share the couch with the big dogs, but he respects his foster mom and is improving/learning how to share slowly.
